You can, but it will not accurately represent what your video will look like once compressed to DV and true video interlacing...

The better way might be to use the 1394 out to a convertor/camcorder.

Is this a dual-head card?
I have a GForce3 Ti200 w/S-Vid out. I have to set the display properties to 800x600, force the switch over which disables the D-Sub out, and.....pretty much looks like CRAP!
I have used it to capture some of the MusicMatch Jukebox & LAVA(Oozic)Visualizations to the DV cam. Why? I don't know.....it was a test.
You may want to get familiar with how it works.......maybe you can use it for an emergency monitor output or troubleshooting.

What model of DV cam do you have?
