Can I use these Loops?

I noticed some loops that I like. I can download them and play them. Okay, can I use them as part of my work? Do I need to buy a whole collection just to use the loop I want? I'm confused. . . . I'm sure Spot will put me right on this.

BTW - Excellent Japanese sounds . .I like them .

Here's the link : Sounds of Asia: Opium

TIA

Hiyah Ray . . love you too ;-)

Yup, I did stumble on this site. And yes . .much digging required . . just tried all the parameters I could think of . . not coming close yet . . However, just been playing around with Sound Forge7 and have got the "output" of the Virtual Key Board - via a loudspeaker Headphone output - got his onto a secondary amp and am now thinking-through the process of "recording" this to . .well anywhere I can .. might even stick it on my cammie's audio input . . .. . just wish there was a way to "record" this virtual KB . . the sounds that come from it are quite amazing .. !

That'a an interesting question, I could not find any restriction on these. They give away free 8packs. The .wav files are 16bit 44.1kHz.yet the extra loop samples you get on the CD's are usually downgraded to 22kHz.

Yeah . .it's not such a silly question is it? - Be interesting to see what the "legal" position of these are .. Grazie

Yes, you can use them. That's what they are provided for. The hope is that you'll be wanting more of the same, so you will buy the library...

You also have to remember something -- those five loops are free to the entire world. A percussive loop isn't as big of a deal, but anything recognizeable is probably already being used in about 10,000 projects. Being a loop producer taught me one thing quickly -- there are a lot more people out there looking for the freebies than there are willing to pay for the whole library.

Oh yes . . I know that! If something is too good to be true .. then it probably is! . . . However, I did a piece in Acid Pro and witrhin 48 hours I was able to present to client what I could do! . . and that was off the "Content" disc I got with Acid Pro . . . . It's how yer handle yer brush . . .yeah?

But yes, paying for excellence is a good principle . .

Grazie,

My point wasn't that you had to pay for good loops -- you can make your own quality loops for free. My point was that EVERYONE who owns ACID got the same content disc...and have the same "free" loops, and are possibly using the same free loops...

As for you recetn discovery, Acid IS amazing. It allows many of us to put great music together in record time. Some say it's "cheating," but it still takes a musician to put music together...and Acid (as you disciovered when you wanted to "sustain the end of a loop") has its own challenges that can be compensated for with a little bit of creativity.

Is there a great book or tutorial CD available for intermediate to advanced ACID techniques??
