Can No Longer Move Cursor During Playback

If you click anywhere above the ruler on the main timeline, the cursor moves to that location.

In every version of Vegas I used from 4 through 8.0c, I could also do this during playback. This lets me quickly "sample" different portions of a project without having to stop playback.

In 10.0a, this no longer works. I've looked for a preference, but haven't found it. You can still click and move the cursor, as described in the first sentence, while playback is stopped, but not during playback.

When did this functionality get removed, and is there a way to re-enable the old behavior?

Works here fine V10aWhen you say it works fine, are you saying that while video is playing you can click the mouse above the ruler on the timeline, and the playback will immediately jump to that point?

Perhaps I should do a quick video demo to demonstrate the problem.

[Edit] Well, I started doing a video demo -- and the darn thing started working!!

I guess I'm glad, and I'm sorry I started this thread. I'll have to go back now and figure out what is going on. I did do a re-boot just prior to doing the demo, so maybe something got hosed and the re-boot cured it.

John, you're not alone.

I've had anomalies happen: Offline Media and not; CSP not tracking and then work; hangs on move and then not. This makes for major frustration when wanting to report to SCS.

These momentary hiccups I've previously put down to it being a local, my pc, issue. But, as others are being tripped over on other, minor issues, I'm really starting to change my mind that it isn't a local issue for my pc.

Worrying........
