Just purchased Movie Studio. Captured video and edited in Movie Studio. Have to use MyDVD to author DVD. When I go to MyDVD, I get things set up but the red "Burn" button is not available. It's grayed out. What am I doing wrong, please? Anyone?
Thanks, Steve240, but my Sony DVD RW DW-U12A is listed as a burner that is listed as a supported burner. However, I do note that my version of MyDVD is 4.5 and the list of equipment is for version 5.X. I don't see any option to switch it to version 4.5 to check supported hardware under that version - they only give you the option of 5.X.
One problem could be that the file is over 2 hours. Look at the lower left corner that shows a picture of a dvd, it usually show how much space is left on the disc or if it is filled. You aren't alone in frustrations though...I have been trying for 2 weeks to get a 1 hour 50 minute video to fit on a DVD, lots of trial and error. Good luck
I found the same problem the file was too large. I can't seem to determine the max file size that I can burn. What I did was to keep cutting of video clips until I got the file small enough then rendered and when I opened with MyDVD the button was not grayed out. Only problem is you have to spend all that time rendering just to find the file is not too large. I have found that even it MyDVD indicates the file will fit a DVD it will still not burn it. I just cut my video down to about an hour and it works fine but I would like to get more than an hour on the DVD without loosing quality.
