Can't Capture Anymore

Out of the blue I'm getting this error when I try to open Screenblast Video Capture:

The device "No Capture Device" could not be opened. Please make sure that it is turned on and is not being used by another application or user.

After clicking through this warning three times I get the preview window. It says "please connect a device".

I connect my DV Cam via Firewire. The camera auto detects, then I get:

The device "Microsoft DV Camera and VCR" could not be opened. Please make sure that it is turned on and is not being used by another application or user.

Until today I've had flawless captures. Other software can see the cam and capture just fine. I'm using the latest 3.0a update. The only thing that changed (that I'm aware of) is I added a hard drive.

I uninstalled and reinstalled twice. I deleted the setup directory before reinstalling. Any ideas?

I just fixed my own problem. This is a good one for the FAQ or Knowledge Base.

If a non-existent drive or directory is specified as the capture location, this error will occur. The setting is under Disk Management in the Options>Preferences window of the Video Capture application.

How did you fix the problem?, can you specify, because I dont know much about computers. This is my first time using the program and I'm having the same problem.

Open the video capture program, go to Options / Preferences / Disk Management and make sure you've specified a folder that exists for your disk capture location.
