Can't Capture my Videos!!

Damn.
Everytime I connect my Canon MVX 150i with my PC and open "Capture Video" in Vegas 4, I can play, forward & backward my MiniDV cassette.
Great.
But then, after clicking on Capture Tape or Capture Video and after waiting till the end of what I want to capture, I get the message that "No Video has been captured".
But the cassette has been played and the disk-space has been lowered during the capture-progress. But no clips after that!!! WTF??

Thanx in advance!

Haukowitsch:

Are you connecting via FireWire? When you use V4 to remote control the camcorder, do you see video in the preview windows of the computer? Have you tried using Advanced Capture to preview the tape, set in and out points, then batch capture?

If you can see video in the preview window then you should be capturing video to file. I can't think of a reason it isn't working. Perhaps you should call Sony tech support, these guys are great at helping resolve such problems. I don't think anyone's igoring your plight, it's probably that no one has a good idea of how to help. Other than continuing to just try different combinations of settings and perhaps uninstalling/reinstaling V4 I'm afraid I don't have any good ideas, either. Other than calling tech support.

Do you have a minimum capture length set? It's on the Options->Preferences->Capture tab. If you do try turning it off. Also, unchecking the 'stop capture on dropped frames' in the check list above might help

Thats an old well known issue.

Turn OFF "Minimum Capture Length" and it should work immediately.
