I am trying to capture video from my Sony TRV530 digital camcorder to a Sony Vaio, but Vegas is saying the device is not detected. The "Smart Preview Video" and "Always Preview Video" options aren't highlighted and can't be checked, and "Reconnect to Current Device" doesn't have any effect when clicked. I've also tried turning he cam off and on, exiting Vegas and opening it again, and about everything else I can think of.

A friend used a Canon mini DV to capture video on the PC before I brought it home, so it has worked before. Not sure why it won't now. Any tips?
