can't find record device selector button

I'm new at Vegas, and I'm trying to find my way around.
When I arm a track for recording, the record device selector button does not appear. What am I doing wrong?

In Options > Preferences > Audio Device, you did set it to Classic or AISO didn't you?

Yes, I had done that. What it actually turned out to be was so obvious that I feel like a fool.
I e-mailed Vegas Support, and they replied that the icon was probably hidden because the track list was to narrow. I made it wider and there it was.
