Can't get my photo to proper height

AgentR wrote on 8/23/2021, 12:39 AM

I'm working with a canvas that is 1080x1920 and placed an image onto the video for motion tracking. There's a bit of the video towards the bottom that I need, but when I attempt to resize the new image to the same dimensions, 1080x1920 it gives me instead 1080x1624. Why is that and how come it never allows me the full range of the 1920?

I'm working within the Vegas Pro 18 program.

Also, this is after pairing up the image with the object being tracked, as when I resize before it seems correct, but after the motion tracking is applied it takes the image in question and makes it smaller and prevents its dimensions from growing beyond 1080x1624.

So, this Project is in Portrait Orientation, and not Landscape?

That's correct, portrait orientation to eventually upload for a YouTube Shorts video.

You may have the aspect ratio locked, and the image doesn't fill a 1920 tall wide frame when you make it 1080 pixels wide. if the image isn't 9:16 aspect, it will not fill the frame when you size it up to 1080 wide unless you vertically stretch the image, or scale the image wider than 1080 so it can fill the full 1920.

If the image is 9:16 ratio, not sure what to tell you.

Can we see your Project and Media settings? Something is forcing you to do this. Need more information.
