Can't hear audio clips

Vegas 10.e
Windows 7 32bit
Audio settings: 24 bit 48K

So I opened up a new session and put 2 audio clips on the timeline.
1 clip was 44.1 and 1 clip was 48.
I pitch bended the 48kHz clip (with elastique).

Then I hit play. Neither clip played.
When working with larger sessions I am finding that I can no longer do on the fly pitch bending or time stretching because the clips won't play. I also find that I can't work with multiple sample rates because the clips won't play.

I've heard of other people having the same problems. Does anyone know a solution?

PS- changing the audio buffer DOESN'T HELP.

Thanks!

C

Hi -

I came across a suggested solution that worked for me at

Try deleting all sfk and sfl files.

give it a try, perhaps that will solve your problem also.

1, Go to your project folder in windows explorer.

2. Do a search with " *.s* " (less the quotation marks)

3. Delete all files found.

4. Open Vegas, appears Vegas will rebuild those files.

5. Issue resolved (at least in my case).

Good luck, hope this solution works for you and any other folks experiencing audio problems.

p.s. You might want to copy the project folder to another folder and follow the above steps on the copied folder just in case this doesn't resolve your issue
