I had this problem once before but I don't have my note from when technical support helped me fix this.

I had to do a fresh reinstall of my WinXP Pro. Then I installed Vegas 5b(160), DVDA 2 and Acid Pro 4. (That's basically it for aud/vid apps). Anyway, any mpeg I have in the project I'm working on won't play (media offline).

Going on what I remember from the tech call from before, I deleted the Shared Plugins folder in Vegas and Acid and then did a repair install of Vegas which I thought would fix the problem but didn't do the trick. Maybe I should have skipped deleting the folder in Acid?

Has anyone else had this issue or a fix for it?
