Read the release notes- they may apply to your situation. Vegas 8 and 9 can coexist on the same machine and they do.

Silly question, but was V8 open at the time you tried to install V9? Not sure if that would make a difference, I haven't tried to install V9 yet myself.

Thanks for the reassurance, J Razz. That was what I expected. So, I rebooted, removed V9 remnants using Control Panel and reinstalled. This time installation completed. However, after launching V9 and entering my serial number, I get a RunDLL error saying a module is missing. V9 continued to open and I don't know what module was referred to in the error. So, I guess I need to do some digging.

I have V6, V7, V8 and now V9 on the same machine - together with VMS Plat (Pro) V8 and V9.
No problems during installation - and no problems using the programs for the last couple of hours.

Running good old XP SP3, btw.
