Can't load CDArch update in 98

I am running 4.5 and just installed a new HP 9600 burner which CD Arch will not recognize. I downloaded the update but when I go to install it I get an error message that it cannot find the existing path to the program. All of my plugins and the original version of CD Arch load into C: Audio/soundforge just fine. I use CD Arch in a professional situation and need to be able to index live tracks for clients. Anybody got some help?

This is going to happen if CD Architect has been moved from one directory or disk to another. It can also happen if your registry has any issues. Please drop us a mail at support@sonicfoundry.com, and we'll be happy to assist you.

I also can't load the update from your website for CDAg. I emailed a couple of days ago and still received no reply. If it is easy to fix why don't you just post it on the forum somewhere. The CDA version I have is (e) and it was loaded for the first time on a new computer and still wouldn't take the update. The problem is obviously on your end. It seems as though Sonic Foundry wants their customers to find other more user friendly software. It is too bad because you guys made great stuff in the past. How about some help. My studio depends on it.

I got an email from the tech guys today. I tried the fix for the download and it didn't work. Could a simple upgrade be this hard. Actually I tried it several times following the directions to the letter. This is frustrating. Again, it is no wonder that people switch products. It comes down to service.
