Probably because you are missing some fundamental step this time.

Are you selecting the correct recording input , arming the track to record, then hitting the 'Record' button on the Transport Control ?

A while ago somebody hereabouts had what sounds like a similar problem which was eventually traced to the fact that they were running Kaspersky security software - for some reason it disables your ability to record WAVs properly. Do a search on "kaspersky" in these forums for the details if this could be the cause of your problem, i.e. if you are using Kaspersky software.

Crazy - I was having the exact same issue. Disabled Kaspersky and the problem is solved. I can't imagine I would've ever found this solution without this post! Thank you!

It's probably not necessary to disable the Kaspersky software completely to fix this - I'd guess there's a setting you need to change or an exception you need to set up somewhere in the depths of the Kaspersky software that will prevent the wav recording problem from ocurring while still allowing the rest of the protection to function OK.

But I don't have the Kaspersky software myself so I'm afraid I can't point you straight to the correct place - you'll have to have a poke around yourself.
