can't open mpeg1 or 2 files captured with ATI Radeon 64 video card

Factory says it is an unsupported file format - Also can't capture anything.
I can see the video in capture mode and it seems to be capturing but when I hit the stop it says an error occured. Is the ATI card not compatible with Video Factory?

Daina,

Did you install the Ligos MPEG codec for VideoFactory? Without this, you can't mess with MPEG's in VF at all. If you're not sure, download it at:

http://www.sonicfoundry.com/download/3rdparty.asp?dlid=1

After installing it, see if the problem is resolved.
