Can't Open Videofactory

I need some help!
I have been using VF with no problems for a while. I started a slideshow, saved my project and closed the program in order to work on some audio mixing. Once I got my audio, I tried to reopen VF and couldn't!
It stalls on the opening screen. I've researched these boards and followed some advice-- uninstall VF through the add/remove programs, delete remaining files in Windows Explorer, run scandisk and defrag and reinstall. I still have no luck. I really need some help-the slideshow I was working on is for a wedding in 2 weeks. I've sent an email to tech support, but am getting impatient waiting for a reply!

what else changed on your machine? If you by chance updated your ATI video card drivers, that could cause the problem you describe (you'll need to get their new 2.3 drivers). If this isn't the issue, did you install some new audio plug-ins recently?

I haven't updated any drivers.I did install Quicktime recently. I have since done a system restore to last month-way before I had troubles and that didn't solve the problem. It's a Hewlett Packard feature that restores your system to a point in the past to help resolve problems. It doesn't delete documents, but it does delete any programs installed or updated after the restore point. So the Quicktime that I had installed is no longer on my machine.
I will check on my ATI drivers to see which I have.
Thank you!
