I have a 56 minute MP3. I'm trying to split the tracks because it's a mix. I'm able to play the first 22 minutes and split them (or rather highlight a part of it in trimmer, copy, paste in the top window and click "render as").
But if I PUT my cursor to that point (around 22 minutes), it stops playing sound and will sometimes stop playing at all (if I click a second time). But if I let the cursor run by itself, it plays through.
As soon as I put the cursor down on a spot I want to play and later will split, it gives me this message: "an error occured while starting playback. Unable to mix to audio. The operation timed out". A message similar to this one pops up when I try rendering it: an error occured while creating the media file ____.mp3. An unexpected error has occured.
This has happened recently and only with a few mp3's. I have previously had no trouble doing this. But it seems like Vegas has stopped working.
It's very difficult listening to a nonstop track that goes for, on in this case, 56 minutes. Can anyone here help? hello? anybody there? no one is interested in mp3's anymore, i guess is why no one is going to reply.
