Procoder is a seperate application, there's no way to "plug it in" to Vegas. What I normally do is render out of Vegas to a AVI-DV file, then bring that into ProCoder for encoding to other formats.

will there be a loss in quality then? What I'm doing now is I rip my dvd. I convert the ac3 audio to waw with "beesweet" so I can add the audio to vegas to. then I want to do my editing and render as mpegs. Is it smarter to use "mainconcept" to make mpegs for me?

well since its built in - yes .. but you can also frame serve out of vegas into procoder ..

rendering to a dv avi first is a waste of time, space and quality loss ...
