can't preview on my Sony DV Camera

I can't preview on my DV camera. I have tried all the different configerations, it used to work. When the video is paused, i see the picture. Then its gone when I play the video but back again a few seconds after the next pause. Please Help Thx

one other thing my clips are 720x480x24 the preview is 720x480x32. What is the 24 or 32. Is that color depth?

Click on the "preview on external monitor" button in your preview window. Then go to video device and click to activate "recompress edited frames". Hope this helps

Still not working. It just seems like their is an overload to the camera. I see the first couple of frames then its just gone. But I can get all my video in no problem.
