I moved to a new laptop recently. Registration of Vegas itslef and the MP3 plugin worked fine, but trying to re-register the MPEG2-codec gives me an error window saying: "An error occured while communicating with the server.This couls be due to network congestion or server failure. Please try again later."

Any ideas? Registration from another computer computer didn' work either, leading to page saying that since the purchase by SONY this page probably doesn't work.

I already opened a trouble ticket in my Account here but SONY hasn't answered for days, ignoring my problems. I really hope I don't need to buy a support plan to be able to register and use a software I payed a lot of money for.

Any help appreciated.

P.S.: Firewall etc. turned off, so that can't be the problem.
