Can't record

I can't record audio in Vegas 4. The audio recording device is Microsoft Sound Mapper. The recordering function works fine in Windows Movie Maker. Any ideas?

Yep, don't use the Microsoft sound mapper - It DOES NOT WORK
Go into the preferences in the audio options and select the sound card you are using - Some sound cards have a control panel -- Mine has a Legacy
Wave Device control panel you need to turn on --- (MOTU 2408)
However, the Sonorus card does not have this problem, it's in/out's
show up properly in Vegas Video. What sound card do you have? It makes a difference...
