What error are you getting? You probably have some other software installed that is conflicting.

I have a DVR-105 (A05) but I don't undersatand the general statement. Mine works fine for me I have the 1.30 firmware upgrade from the pioneer web site, but it burned fine prior to the firmware upgrade too. What exact problems are you having? At the moment I use Ulead Movie Factory 2 to burn my DVD's until I can upgrade to Vegas + DVD. I use either Pioneer, Verbatim or TDK -R media.
