Can't render

OK I don't know if this is even fixable..because I can't isolate or identify the problem. I have 2 projects; Wedding ceremony and wedding Reception. I've rendered then to HD using Vegasaur last week with no problem. Let the client review. Made a few minor changes. Now ready to render for DVD to burn with DVD Architect. Not I can't get a decent render. Here are the varied results I'm getting.

1) Render hangs (right now it's hanging on 1% for 38 minutes wuth an approx 13 hours left) -Rendering straight from Vegas using the DVD A wide screen codec
2) With Vegasaur the render fails as sooon as it checks for errors
3) Renders rediculousely fast, but when played back only the first 4 minutes is visable. The other 22 are blank black screen (checked original file..previews fine),
4) Render freezes at 85% aftermore than 11 hours
5) and more....

Unless anyone has any suggestions my next steps are:
1) Try and render again in other codec. It was sucessful before..see if it still is
2) Render other files in the DVD codec and see if they work
3) Go to trade school and learn how to be a chef.

Render to an HD codec and then render that down to DVD. I find that is a better workflow for me.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot. I've done DVDs before and never had an issue. But...this is a new HD and new install of Vegas.

OK..11 hours later. Just got home and it's stuck on the first render at 60%. Remaining Time 00:00:00.
I was using Vegasaur. Maybe I'll try just straight Vegas again. Also try another project and see if the issue is with the project or the program.

Have you tried turning GPU acceleration off? Are you using any plugin's like NewBlue that have their own settings for turning off GPU?

I do use New Blue.

OK here's the update:
I have 2 hard drives. The newer one is an SDD I've been working off of for about 3 months. Havn't had an issue so far. I kept my old HDD just in case. I Booted up to the old HHD (Both have vegas 13 and New Blue as well as Vegasaur). Rendered using Vegasaur to DVD and it worked fine. I havn't checked the files yet. I may uninstall Vagas, NewBlue, and Vegasaur from the SSD and reinstall all over again. Still don't know what the issue is, but at least I waS Able to get a render out.

To the editor formerly known as FOSKO: is your SSD nearly full? How much room do you have on it. SSD's can have issues, especially when near full. If you have a Samsung, download Samsung Magician to properly prepare your SSD for the intended use you want it for. Editing is not a standard SSD function.

I highly suggest this if you have a Samsung EVO. Plus, spinning HDD's that are going bad will act up when rendering. Are you getting BSOD's?

Also, if you are trying to render into a CODEC that is a stretch from your original frame rate, SVP will crash every time, e.g. making a 1080-60i into a 720-24p. A lot of people like to blame Vegas for issues there are experiencing and even look for solutions there. But I found that the majority of my Vegas issues were my hardware and other incompatible software.

Happening again.
My operating drive (where I have Windows and SVP) is on my C Drive which is an SSD. THe media files are on an external HHD where I'm also rendering to.

It seems I didn't have GPU turned off on the newer drive. Turned it off and seems to work great..even seems to render a little faster.
