can't render (pal) mainconcept mp4 1280 x 720....

had no problems rendering this in 8, and i think in 9 (not sure about that though), but in 9a (32 / 64 bit) i keep getting - system is low on memory, close other applications etc., - error.

could some one else please check this out.....

Yep, Ive had several issues with rendering in 9a first using WMV 1280x 720 and also mp4 1280x720 from an HDV cineform timeline.
I kept getting the system low on memory crash.
It appears resolved now having upgraded to 8gb ddr (from 4gb) and changing the preview ram to zero.
I also never had issues in vegas 8c
Ive also used the 'allow vegas to >2gb ' change that was posted previously and everything does appear to be working fine (so far so good)

i'd really like to know what's going on! i mean there were problems / bugs with 9, but is 9a introducing more? (there's a new thread re red frames as awell).

i have to say there's no way i'd change nle's, but i'm getting a bit despondent about vegas's 'reliability' and direction. i miss the days of 6 and 7 when i could tune in, turn on and NOT drop out.....
