Can't render widescreen and some other stuff

I can't render in the settings 1280 by 720, when I choose these settings it comes up saying Vegas Movie Studio does not support output of frame sizes greater than 800 by 600, yet theres a template for these settings, am I not ment to? or do I need to fix something?

Do you have the regular Vegas Movie Studio rather than VMS Platinum? If so, regular VMS does not support hi-def input and output.

However, "widescreen" doesn't require hi-def. You should be able to find std def widescreen templates. Are you rendering for DVD? The widescreen will still be 720x480 pixels -- same as 4:3 output -- but the pixel aspect ratio will produce a widescreen 16:9 result. Just look for the words "widescreen" or "16:9"in the render templates.

ok, I'll go try that and I take it I am supposed to not have colour corrector either?

what version of vms do you have? 8 9?

please clarify what Format and Template you're trying to use in Make Movie.
