I have attempted (twice) to download and run the Vegas
Video public beta but the best I can get is a good, hard
crash (one was so hard that neither my warm reset or power
switches would work--I had to use the 'power cord reset')
My system probably meets or exceeds all the requirements in
every respect EXCEPT that my current video card is an M-
JPEG card (Fast AV). Based on the FAQs, I was prepared to
capture using a my card's FASTCAP utility, then convert the
files to a Vegas-friendly format--but I can't get that
far. I can't even open the program.
Is the absence of a specific DV/Firewire card causing the
failure? I would really like to try this one out.
