can't select certain audio restoration EX in Vegas Pro 16

Hello,

I have Vegas Pro 16 (build 307). I can't select Audio
Restoration, Click & Crackle Removal, Noise Reduction. I can
access everything else that's available in the Vegas Event EX list.

Consequently I also can't access these same options in Sound
Forge Pro 12 (build 29) under the Tools tab. However I can select similar
options under the Effects tab.

Error message in Vegas: The plug-in could not be run. One or
more components required to run this plug-in may be missing.

Error message in Sound Forge: Plug-in Vegas Noise Reduction failed to load.

I realize I'm bouncing around from Vegas to Sound Forge, but
both programs seem to be linked together. I'm having other issues Sound Forge
so I'll make a post there.

1) Does Vegas Pro 16 not include these audio plug-in options?

2) I'm thinking about upgrading SF with Audio Cleaning Lab. Will
whatever effects that are in that program appear in Vegas?

Thanks in advance~ Jason

The noise reduction suite was included w/ Sound Forge Pro but works in Vegas. Try reinstalling NR-2.0 Noise Reduction pack. The install option is in the Sound Forge Pro 12 main installer which can be downloaded from the Maxix service center. Log in to your account and go to 'My Products'. Download the SF Pro 12 installation program (soundforgepro12_dlm.exe)m, the SF Pro 12 installer has options to install the Noise Reduction pack 32 and 64 bit versions

btw, iZotope's RX Elements basically has the same tools as the NR-2 pack, but are even better... also included with SF Pro 12 and 13. That is also in the Pro 12/13 installer, The authorization may be separate through Zotope I think.

If all else fails, uninstall and reinstall SF and Vegas.

Thanks Rick. I'm not sure if my version of SF Pro 12 is legit. I bought it from eBay and was a download version. I don't mind buying Pro 13 if it comes with iZotope RX Elements. I'm interested in their RX7 so maybe I can get my feet wet.

SF Pro 13 includes iZ Elements plugs as well as the NR-2 pack. The Pro 13 Suite includes Steinberg SpectraLayers Pro 6 and some additional Fx plug-ins. See version comparison chart, I do not think you can get the upgrade discount if the serial # was initially registered by someone else.
