Can this be done: Menu/transition/music question...

(I am using/evaluating the Demo version of Vegas 4.0 and DVD Architect.)

1.) When adding a First Play video clip to a DVD project, is it possible to add a *transition* between the First Play clip and the opening menu?

2.) Also, can one add background music to play during the display of a particular DVD menu?

This Sonic Foundry package is very impressive... (Coming from Pinnacle Studio, maybe.)

1. Don't think so.

2. Absolutely. Just add an audio file to the menu (on the properties on the right-hand side)

Transition: What if you captured the menu as a still image, stuck it on the timeline in Vegas at the end of the first play and added the transition. Don't know if you would get a jump between the end of the "transition to the menu" and the menu, tho.
