Can Vegas Video do this?

1. On the timeline, if I were to overlap the end of one clip with the beginning of a second clip, would my default transition (dissolve) be automatically used, and would the audio be automatically cross faded? Could I see a read out of the length of that transition as I was sliding the 2 clips together?

2. Could I correct a shot where the horizon line was a little off because the tripod was not set up correctly?

3. Are all the realtime effects available on the NTSC monitor at full resolution?

Thank you,

Mickey

1. Yes and yes. Don't know about readout while you're sliding. But you are on a TIMEline. Zoom in and you'll see what you need to see - timewise. I also think you can pre-set default transition lenghts (and fine-tune them afterwards).
2. Yes.
3. I think not. But I don't use ext monitor.

1 - Yes. If you double-click the transition it will be selected as a loop and the duration will be displayed just below the timeline.

2 - Yes. Pan/Crop includes a rotation function

3 - Yes. However, when displaying full size the frame rate may drop some depending on the complexity of the effect and the speed of your CPU. You can do a fast dynamic RAM prerender if you need to see it full speed.
