Is there a way to pan and crop in real time? Like as the video is playing. I've looked online but couldnt fins anything I love being able to control down to the frame, but sometimes it's simpler just to drag (as opposed to 140 keyframes)
Sorry, but I don't understand your question. What do you mean by pan and crop real time?
Record in real time. As the video is playing ....open the pan/crop window and have it record your movements as it's playing.
To my knowledge, this is not possible.
automation is the term you are looking for. to the best of my knowledge, vegas only supports audio automation, not video too, but that would be cool!
why do you need so many keyframes? is it a complex motion or mask?
More complicated than going from point A to point B yes.

There is a hack. Use a motion tracking program to follow something & then write a script to read the exported motion data to have the pan/crop center on that point.
