in V5d? Specifically, I want to add the, "Add a 2 second gap" script, to a button on the toolbar. The 'Customize Toolbar", dialog does not include the script I want to use. Can we change the choices?
Or can I change the choices under the scripting choices under the Tool menu. Thanks, John
Yes. Double Click the toolbar to open the Customize Toolbar option. Scroll down and locate the script icon. Double click that, or click it once and choose "ADD" to add it to your toolbar.

Since you are using Vegas 5, make sure you place the script in the
C:\Program files\Sony\Vegas 5.0\Script Menu
directory (or whatever drive you installed Vegas on if it’s not on your C: drive) This is where Vegas will look for scripts. Anything that shows up in the Tools > Scripting menu will show up in the Customize Toolbar listing.
I am wondering why the '2 secong gap' script must be run repeatedly to put the gap between all ( about 100) my clips.
It all depends on how the script is written. It may have been designed to work with the first selected event. It may have been designed to work with all selected events. Without seeing the script, it's impossible to know.
