It looks like about the best you can do is render the second project to
an AVI file (the DV template works well), then open up the first project
and drag the AVI file onto the timeline.
Sorry!
It would be nice if one could copy events from the timeline and then
paste them into another project. I tried; it didn't work.
If you succeed, please let me know how! I used to be able to open two
windows at once with VF 1.0, but 2.0 won't let you do it anymore. This
is somewhat of a sore point because i would often open up multiple VF
windows to let multiple renders run all night. Now with 2.0 i often have
to set an alarm to wake me up in the middle of the night to start the next
render running. Grrrrrrrr.
VV3 Beta does let me open up more than one window. Hopefully that's
true of the release version as well, and even more hopefully there will be
a patch to VF 2.0 to allow it! *hint* ;)
...since you are going to render both sections anyway, you could render section 2 as an avi file, then paste that file in the section 1 project, at the end. Not a big hassle, really!
What VF2 should do (I tested it and does not) is to have a VF file open, do an EDIT SELECT ALL and COPY, then open the 2nd VF file, position the time line, and do an EDIT PASTE. but paste is no longer available. That is not consistant with other Windows apps.
