Can you adjust a video events length to an exact amount of time, say 20 seconds, by entering in that numeric value somewhere. And if you can Would it adjust to the nearest poss frame?
If you double-click on an event it will highlight it in blue with a loop region. Then look in the lower right corner of the timeline window and you'll see three sets of numbers. The first is the current cursor position, the second is the end of the loop region, and the third is the length of the loop region. Double-click on the third number and set this to whatever length you want for the event; you'll see the size of the loop region change accordingly. Lastly, drag the end of the event to the end of the loop region. It will snap to this length when you get close enough. If you have Quantize to Frames turned on then it will snap to a whole number of frames.

What's next Guy's "thought wizard" ?
At work we call it the "clairvoyant module" ... as in, "darn it, we should have paid extra for the clairvoyant module", whenever the software doesn't do what we think it should do.
