AFAIK you have to export each track as a WAV file that you can import in PROTOOLS. None of your settings, effx, etc will transfer directly.

You can save to an EDL, and use a translator app to move to ProTools session or OMF, if needed. (SSL ProConvert is what we use here for project/session conversions). It should work, but just be sure you don't mix mono and stereo audio clips on the same track (might not be a problem in some cases, but I've seen that cause clips to be dropped in some session/project conversions to OMF).

I am going to try the EDL thing as i found that vegas has a "save as" for that... It seems like it will take the audio as well. If that doesn't work, does anyoneknow how to batch render an entire session so all the files can have the same start time? I think there is something that will do that but i just cant seem to find it...maybe i'm looking in the wrong place...

If you render each entire Vegas track to a separate wav file, they'll all have the same start point, maybe with blank sections where there's no audio. Also, if you use Acid Pro you have the option of rendering the project out in one step to sepoarate complete wav files.
Hope this helps
