I believe you forgot to mention what you were trying to render it as..?

It's all about the bitrate. Whatever bitrate you're using, divide it by 1.05 and use that instead.

Sadly, if you're using MPEG2 in Vegas Studio then you can't adjust the bitrate in fine increments.

~yes, it is mpeg2 ~ do you think we will be able to adjust bitrate soon in coming revs?

You can adjust the bitrate NOW - if you upgrade to the Pro version.

If you're uploading to youtube why use MPEG2? You can get better quality for fewer bits by using something like MP4/AVC or even WindowsMedia. And, you can adjust either of those to any bitrate you want.

~i rendered it in mp4 and didn't see better quality or any bitrate options

Yes, that's another type of file that VMS does not have a CUSTOM option for ... the PRO version of Vegas can customise mp4's. All VMS can do is give you two frame size options.

BUT you didn't say if it got you below the 1 gig limit.

Remember also that there is a 10 minute limit as well.

~yes, it got me well under 1G ~ all the way down to 120mb and it rendered really quick which told me that the quality was going to take a hit ~ was chienworks talking about PRO also?
