Amen to that! Cancel should bring up an "Are you sure? Yes or No" dialog box.

Agreed. Absolutely!

Also it is TOO EASY to delete an entire track as opposed to just deleting a point in a audio envelope. I've caught myself several times doing that if my aim was a little off when trying to click on a point just to delete it and falling on a blank area of a track instead. Luckly I've always caught myself.

Would not be happy if I by accident deleted a whole track that had several events each with a finely arranged set of several hundred points. No need to a confirmation box to delete a point or even an event, that would be overkill, but deleting a whole track probably should bring up a "are you sure" dialog warning just to give us a confirmaion that's really what we wanted. Or only allow deleting a TRACK by clicking on its track name or number.

You have unlimited undos. If you delete a track by accident, just hit the undo key.

I agree it is easy to undo a mistake, which is great. but what about this cancel button issue?

this was a problem with 3dsmax all the way up to version 4 when they finally fixed it by making the default button 'pause' the rendering rather than 'cancel', which would just throw away the entire render without even prompting for confirmation.

it's the same deal with Vegas unfortunately. you could literally lose hours or days worth of cpu time by hitting enter. or the other enter. or escape. the enter key and the escape keys are right on the corners of the keyboard. it's almost like they *want* us to accidentally cancel the rendering ;)

ALT-Tabbing from Vegas while it's rendering? hmmmm... see what is right next to that ALT key? the biggest key on your keyboard most likely so be careful cuz one tap on the big fat SPACE BAR is all it takes to cancel your render.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that is a problem! time to hit the product suggestion page:
