Cannot make ANY type of movie

I have Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8.0 on windows 64 bit 7. I made a very simple project: one overlay with text and one movie clip. Total is about 1 min and 10 seconds. When I try to make a movie and save it to a hard disk, the movie is not made. I tried every single format when making a movie but when I try to play nothing shows, just black screen. The length of the black clip is only about 12 seconds. What am I doing wrong?

Loop Region. It sounds like you created a loop region on the timeline where there is no video (its easy to do and not realize it) and have Render loop region only check in the Make Movie settings. Remove the check mark and all of the video will render.
