Cannot open Brinno cam MJPG files (Movie Studio12)

I've been hunting around for some help importing some AVI files using the MJPG codec from my Brinno TLC200 pro into Movie Studio Platinum 12. I found a few posts on these boards that recommended grabbing the MainConcept MJPG codec, but even after a restart that didn't fix my problem. I've grabbed the MediaInfo included below, but I'm still kind of stuck for what to try next.

Any ideas?

- Win 8.1 (64-bit)
- Movie Studio Platinum 12 (1184)

I have the same issue with my Brinno Construction Cam. It seems to be MJPG in an AVI container, but perhaps missing some of the metadata that Vegas needs. The only way I've gotten it open is transcoding to MP4 with Handbrake, but obviously I'm losing some quality that way. Any advice?

Here's the Mainconcept MJPEG Demo. It will open your files (probably) and doesn't expire. Installs as an AVI codec.

Like Ironmaus, the MJPEG codec didn't help - or at least it wasn't the only thing I needed. I installed it, but Vegas still didn't recognize the Brinno AVI files.

I did find a fix though - there seems to be a problem with the metadata in the AVI files. I ran DivFix++ on them, and now they open in Vegas just fine.
