I think much of this has to do with my crappy USB M-Audio Fast Track Pro, but when I right click a sound file and choose "open copy in sound forge" i get the error
Vegas Pro is currently using the media file(s) so they cannot be closed. Try stopping playback, stopping recording, and any external timecode syncronization."
It is random when I get this, it used to work fine. When I do get it to work (and make a copy of the take), it often says "error file can't be created" when I try to save it.
