Cannot open Movie Studio Platinum 13 in Windows 10

Upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 weeks ago. Attempted to open my Movie Studio Platinum 13 and nothing happens. The DVD Architect is ok. Thought program was compatible with Windows 10. I ran the compatibility test...said not compatible. Tried to run it compatible with Windows 7 and Vista.....no luck.

Returned my Windows to 7 and the Movie Studio runs ok. What to do?

Try to reinstall the software.

I did have a Movie Studio update I had not downloaded. So I installed it while in Windows 10 (hoping that would solve the problem). Made no difference. So will try a reinstall. Thx.

Hmm, have you tried to install Movie Studio since you reinstalled Windows the second time? Movie Studio probably needs to be reactivated after installing new Windows (or at least Vegas Pro does) and sometimes the only way to trigger this is to install it again.

I finally managed to uninstall Movie Studio completely. Windows 10 is reinstalled. Downloaded Movie Studio and reinstalled it. I get the splash windows then a pop up saying Movie Studio is not working. I documented the problem in that window and sent the error report to Sony. Any suggestions?

Problem solved. Depressed CTRL and SHIFT keys simultaneously ....double clicked icon for Movie Studio...held the depressed keys down till program opened.
