Cannot paste event attributes

mark003 wrote on 1/27/2008, 4:33 PM
I'm doing some blue screen work and I've resized the canvas and added the chroma keyer to the first clip. I copied the Event Pan/Crop and went to paste to all other clips to add the chroma keyer, but when I try to paste "Paste Event Attibutes is un-highlighted, so I cannot select it. Does anyone know what's up?

Same goes for Event FX. A right click brings up a Plugin Chooser instead of copy paste options.

Thanks

I can confirm this. Doesn't happen all the time. No idea what's up. Frustrating . . .

I just finished a project where I used copy/paste attributes on almost every event and it always worked using this method:

Right click source event, select Copy.
Right click destination event, select Paste Attributes.

That copies pan/crop and eventFX to the destination.

Hi Jim,

That's my technique, exactly. Doesn't always work, at least in V8a

I've never had problems copying/pasting attributes in any previous version of Vegas. Haven't run into the problem yet with V8b.

Are your clips grouped?

if you try and copy from one clip in a group and paste to another clip in the same group, it won't happen, but if you'd like to host or email me the project file, I'd be happy to take a look at it.

Dave

Just e-mail me through the website and I'll respond and you can send me the file if you want to email it.

Good thought, Dave . . . I'll check it out!
