Hi,
I got VV3 to connect to my camera eventually using a Sony i-link cable and not a standard Firewire cable - stramge?.
I can now transfer media and edit it.
Trouble is, when I render a file in the Vegas timeline, the resulting avi has very jittery playback.
I have tried every codec and every different setting in Vegas to correct this.
If a play a 5 second clip in the timeline, it plays fine in the preview window and on the external monitor.
If I apply an effect to the clip - the playback is jittery (like big blocks of pixcels) in both.
If I render the clip (PAL DV) and put it back in the timeline - jittery playback again.
If I play the clip in Vid cCap - jittery playback.

I noticed that my 1394 card is sharring IRQ #5 with my video card. Would this affect things?

System is Athlom 1800+
Lots of RAM
Win XP Pro.
