You may want to try turning your camera off and on again - than try printing to tape.

Do you use the analog pass-through? If you enable the analog pass-through (to capture analog video through the camera and into the computer without first recording on tape), then the software will do exactly what you describe. I don't have a VX1000, but on my Sony camera, the menu item is "A/V->DV OUT". It should be OFF if you want to record back to the camera.

Lawler,
On my Sony TRV-120, I have to go the the menu (open the large viewer and press the menu button under it on the side of the camera) then hit the select button (which is actually the wheel that you can move the bar up and down the menu selections with on the back end), and a second set of options come up with A/V->dv out at the bottom. To the right of that it will say on or off. Put the highlight bar on it and move the wheel until it says off. Then hit your menu button again and shut the viewer. If that was the problem, it should work now. Hope this helps.
