Cannot remove project from Pinned tab in Taskbar

StardustCreations wrote on 4/30/2024, 5:16 PM

I wonder if anyone knows a fix for this. I had pinned a project, then moved it to a different folder, so then when I tried to click on it it gave this message:

In the past I only needed to click Delete and it would remove it from the list. But with this no matter what I do it won't seem to budge. I wonder if it has anything to do with OneDrive, because I recently tried out OneDrive and the file was connected to that? I don't know, but any tips would be much appreciated! I'm hoping to not have to reinstall Vegas.

Seems to be more a Windows question. The system does not find the project file. Do you know where the project file is located really? Try to find it.

Зажать шифт и правой кнопкой на закреплённой иконке - свойства - поменять путь на новый.
Hold down the shift and right-click on the pinned icon - properties - change the path to a new one.

That Taskbar process is working as expected here. Try going to Windows Personalise/Start and turn off jump lists in the task bar:

... then reboot the computer and then turn jump lists back on to see if that clears up the problem.

The tricky thing is it's a file that I had Pinned to the list, not an automatic recently opened thing :/

I do have the file. I was moving around a bunch of things and changing file locations, so now there's a copy of it somewhere else. But now when I try to put it back in the same place to see if it'll let me change it, it still won't open it from that pinned list.

I know it's not a big deal but it just bugs me, lol

Here's a video to better show the issue:

I wonder if there's a way to sort of "refresh" the Vegas app and clear out the Pinned projects, without reinstalling..?

Pinned projects in the taskbar icons (they are called Jump Lists) is a Windows feature not a Vegas feature.

Please refer to my comment of all almost exactly 48 hours ago which shows you how to clear the Jump Lists via the appropriate Windows Personalisation menu.

Again, Jump Lists are a Windows feature, not a Vegas Pro feature.

I do understand that part of it. Sorry, I forgot to let you know that I did try your suggestion but nothing has changed.

The setting that you showed is for recently opened items, so I believe that's why it didn't affect this.
