Cannot Render using Sheer Video Codec

I really want to use the Sheer video (www.bitjazz.com) codec when rendering because It cuts disk usage in half, it retains alpha info, and is cross platform compatible. Vegas however refuses to render any Quicktime movie with this codec. It will start to render, but then immediately throw an error saying:

"An error occurred while creating the media file xxxxxx.mov

An error occurred while converting with a codec."

I am able to use this codec in other applications such as 3DSMax and Quicktime Pro.

Anyone know why this might be happening and how to fix it?

Thanks.

I've not tried using the recent versions, but beta versions were fine. Are you disabling the avi type 2 compliant stream when you render?
You'll find Vegas is very slow with the BitJazz, which is why I didn't use it.

I agree with Spot with this one - the beta verisons worked fine, and I was using Vegas 4.

Anyone got the current production version of the Sheer Video codec working with VV5?
