Cannot Run Vegas Studio Platinum

I had gotten a free trial of this software and have since purchased it. When I try to run it it keeps asking me if I want to buy it. I reinstalled it and it won't let me run it because it says it is already on my computer. Cinescore does the same thing. What's up with this? I have the serial #'s but it won't give me a window to log them in. I'm sitting on 50 year old home movies I have dumped into my computer, but can not do any editing due to this faulty software. If anyone could clue me in on what I could do, I would be grateful.

Hold CTRL+SHIFT while starting Vegas and see if that helps. (This resets the program to factory settings)

OR TRY THIS:

Activating an expired trial with a purchased serial number

Subject

I was previously using a free trial of a Sony Creative Software application, but my trial has ended. I have purchased the software and have installed it. Now when I open the software, it only gives me two options - Buy Now or Close. What can I do?

Answer

Try selecting the option for Buy Now. The next screen will show two options:

"Purchase via the Web" and "Purchase via phone". Choose the option for "Purchase via phone".

The next screen should allow you to enter the serial number that was provided with your purchase. Enter it and follow through with the registering the software.
