Cannot stop video and audio separating

I've just completed an interview using two cameras. When I activate mukticam mode in Vegas Pro 8, I get one video track and two audio tracks. However, the video and audio seem to lose their conectivity after going through multicam, even though the "Ignore event grouping" button in not actived. Is this normal, or have I done someting wrong?

Does it show loss of sync in the timeline too? (use the + / -)

Are you using the audio from both sources?

I've seen the +/- before but it is not showing now. Can it be turned on and off?

Yes, I'm using both audio sources. Is this good or bad?

Thanks for your input:)

I've never had the + Zoom In Time (or - Zoom Out Time) disappear.
So not sure.

I am thinking at some time you had the Ignore Event Grouping active
when you either trimmed the track or accidentally tried to adjust opacity or
audio level. The only fixed I know of is to zoom in and slide the track left
or right to resync.

The +/- hadn't disappeared - I was just looking in the wrong place. For some reason, I thought it appeared in the clip, but saw it in the timeline. Is this indicater absolutely accurate in that when you import the clip, it will always show if the sync has changed? Also, when a clip goes pink, is that another indicator of 'out of sync?' Thanks very much for your input:)

When butting clips next to each other the glow changes color as you noted.
It does not indicate sync just touching timewise.

Were these clips mpeg / dvd imports?

I have seen the length of an audio track will be different from the visual track
and my solution is to place mpegs on a track by itself and slide the audio to match
sync.

Sorry if I'm not offering more help on this.

Which version of Vegas Pro are you using?

8.0b has issues with reporting unnecessary A/V sync results as pink frames.
8.0c has corrected these issues, both in the documentation and in my experience.

If this is a "how to group events" or "how to quantize to frames" question, kindly disregard.

I'm using VPro 8c. The clips are AVIs and mpegs.
