Canon XF300 and Vegas

Does anyone know if Vegas will be able to read the 50Mbps *.mxf wrapper? Just wondering if it will be an issue like the *.mov files from DSLR's.

None of the press releases say Vegas.

Looks like a great camera and should be good for our long form wedding events.

Unfornately I do not have an answer. In respect to the cameras, I am looking forward to it, personally I think their introductory price is a bit high and it will allow the A1s to still have a viable price point in the market place for that level of a camera.

I expect the *.mxf file will lay down on the timeline, but question the play back rate.

I have Cineform and it was an immediate part of my consideration. But any ideas as to the 4:2:2 going to 4:2:2? It seems like it would be counterproductive aside from the *.AVI wrapper?

Just looking for a drop on the time line solution like I have with my current (still loved!!) HDV format.

As soon as the cam comes to Denmark, I will get one to test from Canon, and I will post findings on the forum. I guess it will be end May or start June.
