Just wanted to let everyone know, especially if you are suffering from the Dazzle Blues, there is hope. I replaced my Dazzle box with the Canopus ADVC-100. It works great! Audio/Video locks, stays in sync, it produces LARGE files, none of that Dell/Dazzle/Mojave 4gig limit stuff. Hooked up real easy, even came with a firewire cable. There is Video hope, If you need a digital or analog converter, from what I see it works nice. And works well with SOnic Foundry Video Wave software. Thanks kcarroll for the ref! the_ripper

Hey..........No problem.

I've loved my ADVC-100 from the first day I had it. If there are any dissatisfied owners, I have never spoken to one!

BTW: I'm really curious about how it's little brother, the ADVC-50 compares: So if anyone has any feedback on that unit, I'd like to hear about it.

As a side issue, You fellow Dell Bundle suckers like me would be pleased in knowing you CAN still use the ORIG Mojave card! Just plug the Canopus into the back of the card using firewire and done. Basically I am only using the card for firewire into the computer, time will tell if I need to replace it. The dazzle breakout box can be further used for sporting activities like described on other posts on this site. the_ripper

Thanks for that info. That is something I have been wondering about for some time. Logically, you would tend to assume it should be IEEE-1394 compliant, but as we have all found out, Dell's logic is based on some parallel dimension.

No, actually I was doing an "Ed Mcmahon". (You remember.... he'd throw out a straight line, with a straight face, and Carson would run with it.) I figured you'd catch it!
