Canopus ADVC110

Can anyone help me with this device? I'm trying to capture VHS-to-DV to my hard drive. The VCR's video & l-r audio are connected to C's matching inputs on the front panel....C's DV/inout on the back is connected to the firewire input of the pc. Input select=Analog. Jumpers 1,2,3,4, & 6 are OFF; 5 is ON.
The results obtained are awful. Video is very dim, oversaturated, purple, & looks almost solarized, totally unusable.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Most of the time, it is best to use the software that came with the capture device when you capture. Once captured, you should be able to bring those files into VMS.

This sounds somewhat like trying to capture PAL with NTSC settings or vice versa.

I would assume that you have the switch on the front of the 110 set to analog in?
